Dev blog: Week 1

Hey guys, TheWardy here again (:
OK time for a bit of an outline of the game:
It's been 16 years since Horace's last adventure in the mystic woods and our lovable rip-off friend is ready to embark on another fantastic adventure, but his path to modern videogaming is blocked by copyright lawyers, quality inspectors and reluctant retailers. Horace must fight his way though the legal barriers, slip past quality control and make his way onto the shelves and sell once again!

Alright so far I have the title screen all finished with a test level (which will soon be removed to add an intro to the story)

And now the revision history for the week:

26/01/2011
Game created
Title screen added
Sound added (game start)

27/01/2011
Game renamed
Plot changed

30/01/2011
Title screen changed
Ttile screen music added

...that's all I guess.
See y'all Saturday!

Announcement!

OK another quickie (Apologies for the lateness)
I have recently begun development of my own side-scrolling platformer based on a video game character from the early-mid 1980s and in my opinion the second best British video game character ever.
HORACE
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Horace allow me to enlighten you.
Horace was created by William tang in 1982 and was notorious for infringing copyrights of other games which were:
Pac-man (Hungry Horace-1982)
Frogger (Horace goes skiing-1983)
Pitfall (Horace and the spiders-1984)
And Lode runner ( also Horace and the spiders-1984)
Updates will be available every Monday with screen-shots once a month (starting Monday 21st February) and Beta demo's every two months (starting Monday 21st March)
Apologies for the lack of things to say but i forgot all about it and had to rush it (sorry)
I'll have something decent next week.

Hey guys,
Just a last minute post so I can hopefully start this blog off.
As almost none of you know (unless you know me ofc) I am terribly sick of fanboys and have been searching for a non-fanboyish/biased comparison of the PS3 and XBOX360.
And I have.
From a guy called Jon Rettinger.
He has provided an unbiased and open minded review of the two over a period of 9 months which finished in about early-mid 2010 so it may be a little outdated but...
Most of the videos are on here http://www.youtube.com/user/jon4lakers (but some are on different channels and even different sites)
Thats...pretty much it.
Well bye for now, see y'all next week (hopefully)
